Corteva Stands Out in Racial Equity Index in Brazil

Corteva Agriscience colleagues in Brazil are celebrating another important achievement around inclusion, diversity and equity (ID&E) activities. The company was ranked fifth best in the Corporate Racial Equity Index (IERE) 2021, which evaluates the activities of 42 companies around racial inclusion and equality.
The index is produced by the Business Initiative for Racial Equality (Iniciativa Empresarial pela Igualdade Racial), a movement that brings together more than 60 companies and institutions to promote racial diversity in the Brazilian labor market. The Data Zumbi Institute, of the Zumbi dos Palmares University, is also one of the partners of this study.
“Besides being a reference on racial equality in the Brazilian market, the index encourages positive competition in the fight against racism and highlights the positive relationship between racial equality and economic and financial performance,” says Roberto Hun, Commercial Unit Leader for Corteva in Brazil and Paraguay.
Today, the index is comprised of six pillars: Census, Awareness, Recruitment, Capacity Building, Career Advancement, and Publicity & Engagement.
Corteva was distinguished in four of them:
