Standards Board Begins Process to Formally Remove IPLPs, Portfolios
Last week, the Vermont Standards Board for Professional Educators unanimously voted to propose scrapping Individual Professional Learning Plans and portfolios from Vermont’s cumbersome teacher relicensing process. Now the real work begins to make that recommendation a reality. Since such a change requires a months-long rulemaking process, teachers currently up for relicensing should continue to follow the rules as they exist today. Rest assured, your union is working diligently to speed up the rulemaking process. We will keep you posted.
