Successful ESP Conference

Vermont-NEA’s Annual ESP Conference was held at the Doubletree in South Burlington on Friday, March 21st.  One hundred Educational Support Professionals gathered for a day of learning.  Sessions included Common Core ELA and Math, Boundaries for Professionals, PbiS, Google Docs, Mandatory Reporting and Social Services, Understanding the Special Needs of Learners, Generational Differences, and more.

Below are some of the comments made regarding the sessions.

Wonderful! Much knowledge and understanding, the common core is clearer now”

“This was fantastic, I learned so much regarding privacy, social media, and physical boundaries.”

“The whole presentation was very helpful. I now understand some different approaches I could use with my students. As paraprofessionals, we don’t always get the opportunity to have these informative sessions. Thank you!”

“The material was very engaging and gave useful strategies to bring back to the classroom.”

"This kind of training is what I should have gotten when the first Chrome books were handed out and I was told to assist the student!"

Save the Date:  Next year’s conference will be held at the Killington Grand Resort on March 20, 2015 and will enlarged so 200 ESPs can attend.  Look for registration materials in January.
