Access to food is a basic human right, regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, ability or any of the social paradigms that define a human as "different." With the premise that everyone needs food, everyone should have an opportunity -- should they so desire -- to be part of producing food. Therefore, access in agriculture is more than about food, profitable farmers have access to education and technology that poorer farmers do not. I think in whatever ways that education, technology, opportunity, and funding can be made more accessible to everyone, even those who may be labeled "different," that will drive equality and make agriculture a place for everyone.
